Pru Howard is the founder and owner of Elements Childcare and Early Learning Centres and has been involved in education for over 15 years. With a Masters of Education and a Bachelor of Commerce, Pru began her teaching career in the Secondary Education sector in which she enjoyed a successful career. In 2014, Pru decided to pursue her passion for early childhood education and embarked on creating a Child Care Centre that truly embodied her personal passion for early childhood education.

Pru understands and firmly believes that the first five years of a child’s life is amongst the most important from many different perspectives – including socially, physically, educationally and emotionally. Pru is committed to creating a unique style of childcare, one that is inclusive of all children and families and is dedicated to creating an environment that is nurturing, warm and encourages learning through play – whatever your age. Elements follows the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which is a pedagogy that uses self-directed, experiential learning in relationship-driven environments. Each year, Pru takes a handful of her educators to Reggio Emilia (Italian city) to do a study tour, one of the many opportunities she makes available to staff. Pru also believes giving back is an important foundation for any organisation, she fulfils this by supporting charities both local and abroad.

Pru has garnered outstanding success since the opening of her first Centre in Belmont and has added three more Centres since; Geelong West (2017), Torquay and Warralily (2018), providing premium childcare and kindergarten to families in the Geelong and Surf Coast Shire.

Across its four Centres, Elements has more than 900 families accessing childcare and kindergarten and is a proud employer of over 180 talented, female educators and teachers. Pru believes in female empowerment, she is an active member of the Business Chicks community and is committed to supporting her all female educators and teachers to be the best that they can be while keeping up-to-date with current trends and teachings.

Elements welcomes children from six weeks to six years of age, with a three- and four-year-old kindergarten program.
